The Fall trimester for all of our homegroups strarts the week of September 13. If you have no idea what a "homegroup trimester" is check out this blog post explaining things.  All across the triangle our homegroups will be meeting for the first time this summer to start new studies, begin new projects and reach out to new people. If you are not currently a part of an OCC homegroup this is a great time to get plugged in! Another WIHN Week begins on Sunday, September 20th. Hosting families through WIHN is one of the biggest opportunities that we have as a church to show God's love to those who need it. We have been blessed with so much as a church and during WIHN week we get to open the doors of our church building to provide a home for a group of people who would otherwise be homeless. Men, women and lots of kids would otherwise be on the streets if we did not give them a place to stay. Please be on the lookout for more information about this in the near future.
Church Picnic
9/27/2015 1:30 pm
Come on out to our annual churchwide picnic. There will be loads of food and plenty of games to play for adults and kids alike. Hope to see you there. Please note that we normally plan for food, drinks and desserts at the picnic through our homegroups but if you are NOT currently active in a home group and you want to bring something to the picnic then please bring either an Appetizer or a Side Dish.

God recently reached out and miraculously reminded me to pray for someone. He did this in such a way as to wink at this particular someone who is in a period of extreme doubt. It was amazing.

I recently recalled that an economics professor once said, "Something is worth what someone else is willing to pay for it." This idea in light of the price God paid for us would mean we are priceless.

"The power of prayer is stronger than the force of any army." So many times I look at it as an obligation / something to do when all else fails, but prayer is actually the most powerful thing to do!
